Download Expenddy
Expenddy is free. There are two ways to use it today: the Android app from Google Play, or the web app in any browser.
Which one should you use?
| Capability | Android app | Web app |
|---|---|---|
| Where to get it | Google Play | expenddy.com in a browser |
| Install step | Yes, from the store | None — just sign in |
| Groups, expenses, splits, balances, settlements | Yes | Yes |
| Friend ledgers and personal records | Yes | Yes |
| Spending charts | Yes | Yes |
| Interface languages | English and Arabic | English only |
| Receipt photos on an expense | Yes | Not yet — add them from the app |
| Push notifications | Yes | In-app notifications only |
| Adding people from your phone contacts | Yes | No — add by email or phone number |
Both use the same account and the same data, so you can add an expense on your phone and check the balance in a browser a minute later. The differences above are the places where the web app has not caught up with the Android app yet — everything to do with expenses, splits and balances works identically in both.
Android
The Android app is a free download from Google Play. It has no paid tier and no subscription.
- Listing: Expenddy on Google Play
- Package name:
com.expenddy.app - Interface languages: English and Arabic, including right-to-left layout.
Web app
The web app is the same product in a browser. It is the fastest way to try Expenddy — there is no install step, and if you decide against it there is nothing to uninstall.
- New here? Create an account.
- Already have one? Sign in.
- Works in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge.
- English only for now, and receipt photos have to be added from the mobile app.
iOS
There is no Expenddy app on the App Store. An iOS version is in development and has not been released, so any listing claiming to be Expenddy for iPhone is not ours.
In the meantime, the web app works well on iPhone and iPad in Safari. You can add it to your home screen from the share menu, which gives it an icon and opens it without browser chrome.
