Two free calculators for working out what people owe each other. They run in your browser, need no account, store nothing and show no adverts.

What a calculator is not
A calculator answers one question, once. That is genuinely all most people need — a group comes back from a weekend, someone works out the numbers, everyone pays, done. It is worth being clear about where that stops working.
- Nothing is saved. The figures live in the browser tab and are gone when it closes. There is no account because there is nothing to keep.
- Nobody else can see it. Only the person typing has the numbers. Both calculators can copy the result out as plain text to paste into a group chat, and that is the extent of sharing.
- No currency conversion. One currency per calculation, from USD, GBP, EUR, INR, CAD, AUD, AED, PKR. Expenddy applies no exchange rate anywhere — converting means choosing a rate and a date, and any choice changes what someone owes.
- No money moves. The calculators, and Expenddy itself, tell you who should pay whom. Expenddy is a record-keeping app, not a bank or a payment service.
When costs keep arriving rather than arriving once — a flat, a couple, a group that shares something every week — retyping the list each time is the wrong tool. That is what the Expenddy app does: everyone adds their own expenses, the balances stay current, and settlements are recorded when the money actually moves.
What happens to what you type
Nothing you enter into either calculator is sent anywhere. There is no form submission, no request to an API, no analytics event carrying your figures and no third-party script on these pages. The arithmetic runs in your browser, and closing the tab is the whole of the delete process.

Calculator questions
Is the Expenddy expense calculator free?
The Expenddy trip expense calculator and group expense calculator are free and need no account. They run entirely in your browser: nothing you type is sent to a server, nothing is stored, and closing the tab clears it. The Expenddy app itself is also free.
Do I need an account to use the trip calculator?
No account and no download are needed. The calculators at expenddy.com are ordinary web pages that work as soon as they load. An account is only worth creating if you want the figures kept, shared with the other people involved, and updated as more expenses come in — which is what the Expenddy app does.
Does the calculator save my trip or my expenses?
The calculators keep nothing. They hold the figures in the browser tab while it is open and forget them when it closes, which is why they need no account. Anything you want to keep, share with the others, or add to over several days belongs in the Expenddy app, where the group sees the same ledger and the balances update as expenses are added.
Can the calculator split expenses in more than one currency?
Each calculation uses a single currency. Expenddy applies no exchange rates anywhere, in the calculators or in the app, because converting means choosing a rate and a date, and any choice silently changes what someone owes. For a trip paid partly in two currencies, run the calculator once per currency and settle each one, or agree a rate between yourselves first.
When once is not enough
Expenddy keeps the group, the expenses and the balances, so nobody has to retype the month to find out where they stand.
