Most shared expenses are not tracked in an app. They are tracked in a spreadsheet, in a group chat, or in somebody's head. These comparisons are against those.

A note on comparing with other apps
There are other expense-splitting apps, and some of them are good. This site does not publish feature-by-feature comparisons against them, for a practical reason: those products change their features, pricing and limits without telling us, and a comparison table that is accurate today is quietly wrong in six months. A stale comparison is worse than none.
What is documented here instead is exactly what Expenddy does, including the things it deliberately does not do — automatic currency conversion, moving money, connecting to your bank. That should be enough to compare it against anything else yourself.
